My painting is based in Wexford where I spent some of my summer holidays with relatives of my mother. One of my cousins Andy used to love singing, especially when coming in from the fields at the end of the day.
 
We all knew the word of Jim Reeves latest hits as he sang them constantly. This scene probably shows Henry the horse resigning himself to another rendition.
